I'm a true book worm - if I'm not sat in a cosy coffee shop with my nose in a novel, then you can probably find me wandering around my local Waterstones lusting over new covers, or clicking away on Amazon.
Our bookcases are full, our shelves are straining under the weight of as yet unread titles, however there are still some hardbacks I'm itching to get my hands on!
I have heard such good reports about this book. The concept of hygge has taken the world by storm recently - for those who don't know, it's a Danish word which means creating a nice, warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people around you. What's not to love? I'm hoping to get a copy of this before our upcoming trip to Copenhagen.
2. TANYA BAKES
I have seen so many snaps on Instagram and Twitter recently of creations which have stemmed from Tanya's latest book. The Rocky Road in particular looks delicious, as do the Cornflake Choc Chip Cookies - and I'm always looking for new additions to my cookbook collection!
Jodi Picoult has been one of my favourite writers for a long time, and I can't wait to read her latest offering. It isn't actually released until November, but with a hard-hitting plot centred on racial prejudice, this is one which I will definitely be pre-ordering.
This cookbook wasn't really on my radar until I flicked through a copy in Waterstones the other day - and it looks fantastic! There are some really interesting dishes, and all look relatively simple to make. Plus - you guessed it - the recipes each only have 5 ingredients. Rumour has it that the sweet potato, Gruyere and pecan gratin is particularly good...
So I saw the trailer for the film adaptation of this book when I went to see Bridget Jones's Baby with my mum, and we both agreed that it looked good - but terrifying! A couple of people had already recommended the book to me, so I'm determined to read it first before seeing the movie. I'm wondering if it's going to be similar to Gone Girl, which I enjoyed but thought wasn't quite as good as it was hyped up to be.
