This Week's '-ings'

It's FRIDAY! Yippee. I don't know about you guys, but I've had a really busy week and I'm exhausted now! So I decided to plonk myself on the sofa, with a big mug of coffee and some chocolate, and get writing this week's '-ings.'

Listening To: Now That's What I Call Relaxing Classical

I've been putting on this CD in the evenings when I get back from work... The title gives it away; the music is super relaxing! My favourites are The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams, played by Nicola Benedetti, and Spiegel Im Spiegel by Arvo Pärt, again played by Nicola Benedetti.

Watching: The Heat.

I saw this film when it came out in the cinema, and loved it, so had no problems convincing my other half to watch it with me again the other night. We laughed from start to finish - to be fair, I think films with Sandra Bullock in are fab (Miss Congeniality? Yep. The Blind Side? Amazing. The Proposal? Love.)

Drinking: Shakeaway milkshakes. I've always been a fan of milkshakes, and walking into Shakeaway and seeing the back wall filled with shelves of chocolate bars is just the best thing for me... My most recent shake choice was Kinder Bueno, which turned out to be a popular choice that day - whilst we were sat in there, three more people came and ordered that flavour! I think next time I'm going to be brave and order the Battenberg shake - have any of you ever tried that one before?!

Clicking On: Poppy Loves - London lifestyle blog.

I recently discovered this lifestyle blog, and have really enjoyed reading Poppy's posts. She's just shared some pictures of the Oliver Bonas press day she attended which made me extremely jealous, and she runs the Poppy Loves Book Club - if you're near to Notting Hill, you can attend the monthly meetings, and if you're further afield, you can get involved via the Facebook group. Everyone's a winner!

Coveting: Eliza Embroidered Skirt. Available from Monsoon, sizes 8-18.

I've obviously got a thing about skirts at the moment (see my last '-ings' post), but this one from Monsoon is just so dreamy and perfect for summer. Its 'appliqué detailing finished with shimmering sequins' is stunning - it would look great teamed with a white blouse and sandals, and is a classic 'day to night' piece.

Working On: Maggie May's Café and Restaurant Directory. New to my blog this week is a list of my favourite cafés and restaurants from all over the place. These places have my genuine stamp of approval; I have not been sponsored by any of these establishments to include them in the directory. The list is ever growing, so check it often for updates! If you have a favourite foodie place, let me know about it; maybe I'll try it out, love it, and add it to the list!

That's it for this week's '-ings'. I've got some great posts coming to the blog in the next few weeks, so keep in touch via Twitter and Facebook - and if you have any comments on this post, please pop them below! I always love to hear your thoughts.
