Chelsea Flower Show Inspiration

Today marks the start of the Chelsea Flower Show!

It's been lovely seeing this part of London getting ready for one of the city's summer highlights {Have a look at my Instagram feed for examples}

To celebrate this beautiful event, I've compiled a list of gorgeous gifts and treats which fit in with the floral and garden theme. Whether you've got a loved one's birthday coming up, or simply want to get in touch with nature by buying pretty things, here's a fabulous list of items to stock up on.

I have been banging on to Mr MM for ages that I want a set of pastry forks - normal sized ones are simply too big for delicately eating slices of homemade chocolate cake! These ones from Portmeirion are just gorgeous, and a great price too. I know what I'm treating myself to this week...

Gin: the best alcoholic beverage of them all? I definitely think so. Luckily, the folk at BLOOM London Dry Gin are involved with the festivities, and are serving up their delicious tipple this year. From Wednesday to Saturday, 12-8pm, The Botanist and BLOOM Gin's carnival inspired RHS Chelsea Flower Show pop-up on Sloane Square will be serving drinks such as their Chelsea de Janeiro - I'm so excited! If you can't get down to Chelsea this week though, you can satisfy those floral-gin cravings with the Chelsea in Bloom {pictured} - simply add 50ml BLOOM gin and 25ml elderflower cordial to a glass, top with prosecco, and garnish with elderflower or gypsophilia. Delicious.

I can't really justify ordering one of these today, seeing as I only just treated myself to a new Cath Kidston bag on Sunday... But for this tote, I might have to break the rules! The Orchard Blossom print is so lovely and colourful, and it's a brilliant size for packing in all you need for a day at the show. Perfect!

No post about quintessential British-ness would be complete without something from Laura Ashley - and this darling little tealight holder is an absolute steal in the sale right now. Race you to the tills!

I desperately want to get my hands on these mugs from Joules, one of my all-time favourite high street shops. Plus, they're currently exhibiting at the Flower Show - so you can treat yourself to lots of wonderful items whilst you're there!

I recently made the mistake of dropping into the Caroline Gardner shop on Marylebone High Street - and instantly fell in love with everything I set my eyes on. The Ditsy Floral print caught my eye, and this cute little notebook is perfect for slipping into your handbag and jotting down gardening tips.

Any lifestyle blogger worth their salt knows that Diptyque is a big deal right now - and so I'm pleased to say that I definitely fall into that camp. Rose is the scent I love most in the whole world; I find it incredibly comforting, and it reminds me of my wonderful mum.

Last, but certainly not least, is this tremendous set from L'Occitane en Provence. Including their Ultra Rich Hand & Body Wash, One Minute Hand Scrub, Shea Butter Hand Cream, and a darling L'Occitane Watering Can, if this collection doesn't encourage you to become green-fingered, then nothing will! If you're lucky enough to be visiting the Flower Show this year, be sure to visit the L'Occitane Garden too.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is running from 24-28 May 2016 at Royal Hospital Chelsea.
