This Week's '-ings'

It's been ages since I've written one of these posts! It's the weekend, it's sunny outside, and I'm looking forward to spending the weekend with my family - all in all, I'm in a pretty good mood and I hope you are too. So grab a cuppa and a few biscuits (I'll take a bourbon, thanks), sit back, relax, and take a look at what I've been up to this week...

Watching: Gossip Girl. I am a little bit addicted to this show, having only recently discovered it on Netflix. One of my good friends has always raved about it, and on a recent trip to New York was extremely excited to be able to see those famous steps at The Met. At the time, I had no idea what she was on about... Now I get it! Plus, I will never get tired over lusting after Serena and Blair's gorgeous, beautiful clothes.

Planning: My travels! I'm very excited about some of the trips I have planned over the next couple of months, so the last few days have seen me poring over many review sites and hotel bookings. The visit I'm most looking forward to? Probably Florence! It will only be a fleeting visit, but I can't wait to feast my eyes on some of the beauties of Firenze.

Eating: Lemon and poppy seed cake. We took a little road trip last weekend to visit some family up North, and there was a request for one of homemade cakes! I find that this one is a fail safe option; I have yet to find someone who doesn't like lemon cake, and it's a fairly easy recipe too. Keep your eyes on the blog as I'll be posting it on here in the next few days... In the meantime, you can have a read of my other recipes here! 

Wearing: My Bug Print shirt. This funky shirt has been pictured on many a fashion blogger. I love wearing it because it's comfy, fun and always finds me a compliment or two!

Lusting after: Neom scented candles. I know, I know, I've gone on about these before! But during those gorgeous summer evenings when it's still light outside, you're sipping on a glass of chilled white wine and lounging around with friends and family, I love nothing more than to light some candles to add to the ambience! I'm itching to get my hands on one of their Happiness Scented Candles, with white neroli, mimosa and lemon - ideal for those summer nights.
